The Robert Bobb Group LLC provides management and turnaround consulting to the public sector.  We have specific expertise in organizational design, financial restructuring, business process re-engineering, and budget, finance and operations management. Our clients for these services include cities, counties, school districts, nonprofits and troubled private sector organizations.

In most instances, we begin our work for clients by studying and analyzing the financial operation and budget, including all financial documents, accounting practices, audits, and official statements the organization has submitted to other agencies.  Next, we review the organization itself– we analyze the human resources and the other challenges facing management. What’s their strategic plan? Where are they in the implementation of that plan?   Do they have the right people in place?  Are they organizationally designed for success?

We survey relationships with elected officials and organizations within the community and help local governments re-engineer their operations to make them much more effective and efficient.  This usually includes the development of multiple communications strategies to reach out to different constituencies.

Members of the Robert Bobb Group and our professional partners have successfully implemented and led cost savings and advisory strategies in large public urban settings, including the Detroit Public Schools, the District of Columbia Public Schools, the District of Columbia, the City of Oakland, the City of Richmond, the City of Santa Ana and the City of Kalamazoo, Michigan, among others.
